How to apply
Applying to an AEA program involves a few simple steps. However, we recommend that you consult with your study abroad office as early as possible, as they may have additional application procedures. Any student in good academic standing may apply to AEA programs. Please visit the Admissions page for the program(s) that interest you because certain programs have additional requirements.
Once you have decided to apply to an AEA program, you can visit our “Admissions” page to download the application materials or you can email us at aea@antioch.edu with your address and we will mail you an application packet. You can submit your application materials as you complete each piece or you can mail it in as a complete package.
The following pieces are required for us to consider your application complete and begin reviewing it:

Goals Statement
2 Faculty Recommendations
Official Transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
$50 Application Fee
Questionnaire for Comparative Women’s and Gender Studies Program
(if applicable) Questionnaire for Arts and Culture in Mali Program (if applicable)
Our application deadlines are as follows:
March 15- India, Japan, Fall/Full-Year Germany
March 30- WGSE, Mali, Brazil
October 15 –Spring Germany
October 30- EiT
We recommend that students complete their applications as early as possible because admission to many of our programs is competitive. Early acceptance may be available upon request. Keep in mind that some of our programs also accept applications after the deadlines on a space available basis. Please contact AEA if you plan to apply after the deadline.
