Requirements: Matching students’ academic and cross cultural interests to our programs’ thematic content is our primary consideration in advising and admission of students. We expect students to articulate their goal statements and discuss with us the ways they plan to achieve their objectives. Good academic standing at the student’s home institution is a key consideration for admission to our programs. Some AEA programs have additional requirements. Each student must submit the following materials for her/his application to be considered complete:
- Official AEA application
- Official transcripts
- 2 recommendation letters
- Goal Statement
- $50 application fee
- WSGE and Mali applicants must submit a questionnaire.
Applying to Multiple AEA Programs: We welcome students to apply to multiple AEA programs at the same time. We just ask that you mark your choices in order of preference (ie, 1, 2, 3). You can submit just one application package. However, if the themes of your programs of interest are different (ie, your first choice is Buddhist Studies India and your second choice is Brazilian Ecosystems), we strongly advise you to submit a separate Goals Statement for each program of interest. Please mark clearly to which program each Goals Statement applies.
