Disabilities/Health Concerns
Antioch Education Abroad provides equal opportunity for all qualified applicants and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, ancestry, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, family status or disability. We care about students’ health and well-being. Our staff is more than willing to work with students to find the best suitable measures for handling any existing health conditions or disabilities. We ask students to fill out a Health Form after admission to one of our programs in order to best accommodate their needs abroad. We work to secure the best available access to health services and provide recommendations for obtaining prescribed medications during the program. In addition, we encourage students to maintain contact with primary care physicians prior to, during, and after participation in one of our programs, especially when pre-existing health conditions are a concern. AEA has experience dealing with students who have a variety of health situations. Feel free to contact us to discuss any concerns you may have.
For additional information regarding traveling and international experiences when you have a disability, we recommend the Mobility International USA website.
