Health and Safety
At AEA, we understand that the health and safety of your students is of the utmost importance when choosing to approve their participation on a study abroad program. Rest assured that AEA follows a set of guidelines based on established best practices in the field of international education. Every program director has a copy of AEA’s Emergency Action Plan at all times and the AEA Director and Assistant Director can be reached 27/7 in case of an emergency.
We also emphasize preventative measures by orienting students to the program location, food preparation, water consumption, and cultural norms and expectations. This helps each student avoid potentially harmful situations. In addition, each student is provided with a card listing all numbers they may need including numbers for in-country emergencies, the program director, other on-site coordinators, the AEA office, and the AEA Director and Assistant Director.
