Kelly Brannan Trail

Kelly Brannan Trail, the Assistant Director of AEA, received her B.A. in History from The College of Wooster. Her Independent Study Project was an historical novel titled, “Ukurikurakiza: A Journey Into the Heart of Rwandan Conflict.” She also earned her Middle Childhood Teaching License for Social Studies and Language Arts. While a student, Kelly studied abroad at The University of Aberdeen, in Scotland. She enjoyed fostering her passion for history and Celtic music, and relished in the opportunity to play Scottish fiddle tunes on a street corner! Kelly also participated in alternative break trips to Appalachia, WV and the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. Both trips really opened her eyes to the realities of life outside her suburban existence. Following graduation, Kelly completed her student teaching in Buea, Cameroon, where she taught local students, along side Cameroonian staff members. Before returning home, she crossed the continent and spent two weeks volunteering at a center for street children in Rwanda. Kelly is excited to share her passion for international experiences with students.
